Duskhold Privacy Policy iPhone
Last updated: 25 October 2026
Duskhold blocks the apps and websites you choose. This page explains what information the iPhone app uses, and why.
1. Screen Time access
Duskhold uses Apple's Screen Time features (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings and DeviceActivity). You allow access with Face ID or your passcode. Apple lets Duskhold block the apps and websites you pick, and count when a daily limit runs out, but it does not tell Duskhold their names or how long you use them. All of this stays on your iPhone. Duskhold cannot send Screen Time data anywhere, and does not try to. You can switch Screen Time access off at any time in Settings.
2. Information stored on your iPhone
Duskhold keeps this on your iPhone: your blocks and their daily limits, your reason, your lock and Strict mode settings, and how many times each block kept you out, day by day for 90 days.
All of it sits in the app's private storage on your iPhone, in a folder shared only with Duskhold's own block screen and Screen Time extensions. Deleting Duskhold deletes it.
3. Strict mode
Strict mode stops apps from being deleted while blocking is on. It uses no other powers. You can still switch off Screen Time access in Settings.
4. The time check
To stop a changed iPhone clock from skipping the 24-hour wait, Duskhold asks apple.com for the current time. The request sends nothing about you.
5. Notifications
If you allow them, Duskhold shows one notification on your iPhone when your 24-hour wait is over. It is made on your iPhone. Nothing is sent to a server to make it.
6. Purchases
Duskhold Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the payment, and Duskhold never sees your payment details.
To check your subscription, Duskhold uses RevenueCat, Inc. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, your Duskhold purchase history, and basic device information: the app version, iOS version and country.

7. Analytics and crash reports
Duskhold uses Google's Firebase.
Firebase Analytics receives events about how the app is used:
- signing in, the setup steps, adding blocks and daily limits, and reaching the free limit;
- opening or closing the upgrade screen, and where it was opened from;
- buying Pro, or a failed purchase with its error code;
- turning on Strict mode, and starting a focus session and how long it is;
- asking for, cancelling or finishing an unlock;
- the blocker being switched off, and your answer to the notification prompt.
It also receives three settings as user properties: whether Pro is on, whether Strict mode is on, and a rough count of your blocks (1, 2-3 or 4+).
These come with basic device information: the app version, iOS version, country, device model and an app instance ID. They aren't linked to your name or email.
Firebase Crashlytics receives crash reports with the same basic device information.
Duskhold never sends Firebase which apps you use or block, which websites you block, your reason, or anything Screen Time reads.

8. Sign in with Apple
Signing in is optional. Duskhold offers it after your first block, and blocking works the same without it.
If you sign in, Apple shares your email address with Duskhold. If you use Apple's Hide My Email, Duskhold only gets Apple's relay address. Duskhold does not ask for your name. Supabase, Inc., which runs Duskhold's sign-in, stores your email address and an account ID, along with sign-in records such as the time and your IP address.
Duskhold never sends which apps or websites you block, or your reason.
Signing out removes the account from your iPhone; your blocks and settings stay.
To delete your account and its data, open Settings, then Account, then Delete account, or email the address in section 12. Deleting the account also revokes Duskhold's Sign in with Apple access, and it does not cancel your Pro subscription: cancel that in your Apple ID settings.

9. What Duskhold doesn't do
Duskhold has no ads, does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and doesn't sell your information. RevenueCat uses your purchase history to run subscription analytics for Duskhold. Crash reports also come from Apple, and only from people who chose to share them.
10. Children
Duskhold isn't directed at children under 13.
11. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published in the app and at the address on the App Store page.
